Entree is the first piece in the cycle of pieces for full symphony orchestra. The piece is written in a post-modern style, developing the traditions established by Igor Stravinsky, Bela Bartok, and George Enescu. Distinct folk inflections give the music characteristic flavor of the Balkan region, while rhythmic patterns emphasize the ritualistic plot. The composer interprets traditional folk imagery through the lens of post-modern ethnographic sensibilities. Advanced level. Available in print or digital format.
